I’ve been thinking about the best parts of Christmas. I’m sure we all have different favourite parts, be it the build up through December, the unwrapping of the presents of maybe the relaxation of Boxing Day. What would you say you love the most about Christmas time? To get a few different opinions, I asked a bunch a awesome bloggers what their favourite part of Christmas is. Let’s see what they said!

The Night Before Christmas

Jo from A Rose Tinted World says “I love that Christmas Eve feeling. When my little girl has gone to bed, all the wrapping and prep is done, and I can sit and chill watching some Christmas telly with a well deserved glass of something.“

The Bright Lights

Nick from Pounds and Sense says “Possibly my favourite part of Christmas is putting up the lights and decorations, and seeing the neighbours’ as well. They cheer everyone up, and goodness knows we all need that at the moment.“

It’s a really nice community atmosphere that sometimes is missing from London. Choosing The Tree

My parents always treat themselves to a real tree and the trip to the Christmas tree farm always gets you into the festive spirit. Once the tree is home, decorating it before curling up on the sofa with hot chocolate and Christmas films is always a firm favourite!”

Movies & Grottos

Claire from Money Saving Central says “I love my Christmas gazebo! We put it up on Dec 1st and completely grotto it out. It has a projector and screen in there for movies in the lead up to Christmas. We have a huge kids party then in Christmas week when we get Santa to visit, then Christmas day I have my best friends and all their children for lunch in there, and afterward, we have a party/disco in there Christmas night.”

My Own Favourite Part Of Christmas

Christmas is a wonderful time. I love planning for it throughout the year by putting aside some money every week. We keep an eye out for gifts loved ones will love, on offer at a good price. We live opposite a school and I adore decorating the front of our property with lights and inflatable festive characters. It’s become a kind of tradition and the school children usually ask my own kids when the lights will be going up.

We usually have a Saturday night movie night for the five or six weekends before Christmas. Family favourites here include Home Alone, Home Alone 2, Elf, The Santa Clause and Arthur Christmas! Christmas Day wonder in the eyes of our children is fantastic, it’s memories to hold onto. Probably my favourite part of Christmas is chilling out Christmas Day evening after a good meal. Boxing Day is awesome too as it’s much more relaxing.
